Served as appetisers or add ice cream for a dessert

Ingredients

  • Figs, halved
  • Olive oil
  • Honey
  • Sea salt
  • Cracked black pepper
  • Vanilla ice cream to serve (if dessert)

Method

Lay figs in a baking dish, cut side up.  Drizzle with olive oil and honey, sprinkle with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Bake 180° C for approximately 25 – 35 minutes, or until caramelised and golden.

Serve with a good vanilla ice cream.
